Our customers are still working; and our networks are always-on

23 December 2020

From healthcare professionals to sailors on cargo ships, our customers need connectivity throughout the holiday season.

A quick Christmas quiz for you:  What do all these phrases have in common?

Global Connectivity Service Provider, multi-IMSI global SIM cards, IoT SIM card, IoT security, IoT service management, maritime cellular communications, nearshore communications, private mobile networks, IoT Global Roaming, IoT network, IoT connectivity, IoT service platform, Private APN, M2M SIM card and IoT healthcare.

Given that this is a blog from the Telecom26 team, it won’t surprise you to know that these are all key services that we have provided to customers across the world throughout 2020 - and will continue to provide over the holidays and throughout 2021 and years to come.

And, as demand for data was at an all-time high this year, it will likely not surprise you to hear that, despite what was happening with the physical health of humans across the world and with all the accompanying economic turmoil, 2020 was a year of tremendous growth and progress for Telecom26.

Our blogs over the year provide a useful guide to the company’s services - and ability to innovate to fill the connectivity and service gaps left by our competitors.

We discussed the Rise of the Super MVNO and how Telecom26 operates as both a maritime MNO and a full global MVNO for terrestrial coverage with USPs that enable us to offer a service that matches and, in most cases, surpasses the offering of the big brand MNOs.

We also discussed how many of our customers when entering a new country, try to use a domestic MNO as they think that going local is a more practical solution but, most often, find that a local service is not always better or indeed cheaper, with a higher long-term spend due to the need for various other features and support required to get the QoS they need…

At this year’s NetHope Summit, we were honoured to present our work with SystemOne in Africa in a session titled “Using IoT to speed up the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in emerging markets”. You can read more about this here.

The NGOs, non-profits, technology and funding companies attending this year’s NetHope Global Summit were asked what their biggest connectivity challenges are.

Managing different network providers both within one country and across multiple countries was pretty high up the list of problems.  This is where our global connectivity service comes into its own.  Our global SIMs provide access all of the networks covered by our global roaming service - 1100 cellular networks from over 620 mobile operators in 220 countries.

And, as our most recent blog discussed, Telecom26 can even help the ultimate global roamer, Santa Claus stay always-on as he flies around the world.

Always-On Throughout Every Holiday

Our customer base is wide and varied, however, we know that most of them need fast and reliable connectivity 24/7/365.  From healthcare workers in clinics in remote Africa to sailors on cargo ships, they want to be contactable by customers, partners, patients, family and friends throughout the holiday period.

Our networks and customer service team will be working as usual across the festive season.  After all, your success is our success…

Our team will be on the move too during the festival period for work and pleasure - and wherever they are in the world they want to stay connected.

As a truly global mobile operator, we have a unique worldwide environment, in which new ideas are tested and evaluated, before being launched.

We offer a full range of connectivity options including 5G, LTE, WiFi, IoT, private networks, 2G, 3G and 4G, as well as offshore connectivity capabilities.

So, please get in touch to find out how Telecom26’s Global Roaming Service and Multi-IMSI global SIM cards can help improve connectivity for your team, wherever they are in the world, in 2021 and beyond.
