FAQs

Everything you need to know about Telecom26.

What is Telecom26?

Telecom26 is a global mobile service provider with its own advanced core network. We offer flexible, network-independent connectivity across all mobile interfaces ensuring secure, reliable coverage on land and at sea, and a future-proof path that evolves with mobile network technology.

Is Telecom26 an MNO?

Yes but not in the traditional land-based sense. Telecom26 is a full maritime MNO, offering mobile services at sea. We don’t own a terrestrial mobile radio network, so we’re not a public land mobile network (PLMN). But at sea, where no such networks exist, we provide full MNO functionality and are a full GSMA active member.

Is Telecom26 an MVNO?

Kind of. Telecom26 provides service in over 200 countries through a vast portfolio of roaming and partner agreements. Like an MVNO, we don’t own the radio network but unlike a typical MVNO, we operate our own core network. That gives us full control over every data session and allows us to deliver service across multiple countries, not just one.

Are you a service provider?

Yes we’re one of the few truly global mobile service providers. We offer network-independent connectivity via our distributed mobile core.

What is a service provider?

In mobile, a service provider gives you access to connect to a network. Most MNOs only provide access to their own network, which can mean limited coverage. We’re different, we offer access to multiple networks in each country, and globally, thanks to our network-agnostic approach.

Do you have any networks?

We don’t own a radio access network, but we do own and operate our own core network, the heart of mobile service. We also build private mobile networks for our customers, which can be configured to allow roaming from selected third-party users.

What does the mobile core mean?

Our mobile core is the system that controls connectivity for all devices on our service like a traditional MNO. It’s built to the latest standards and delivers Tier 1 performance. We manage all sessions, security, and routing, giving you seamless global mobile service over the best local networks.

Do you offer services on land and at sea?

Yes! We can connect your service and devices, anywhere.

Can I roam onto your networks?

No because we don’t operate a traditional radio network. Instead, our customers roam onto other networks around the world, using our centrally-managed core and cost-effective pricing.

What types of SIMs or eSIMs do you offer?

We offer physical SIM cards and eSIM profiles, supporting a range of use cases including global business travel, remote device connectivity, maritime services, and IoT/M2M deployments.

Who are your typical customers?

Our customers range from global enterprises and maritime operators to IoT solution providers and government organizations, anyone that needs flexible, secure, and reliable mobile connectivity in any location.

What makes Telecom26 different from traditional mobile providers?

Unlike traditional MNOs or MVNOs, we offer complete control over mobile connectivity with our own core network, global multi-network access, and the flexibility to support complex use cases, including private networks and hybrid land/sea deployments.

Can you help with private networks or custom connectivity setups?

Yes! We specialize in private mobile networks and custom connectivity solutions, tailored to your specific operational, security, or geographic needs.

Will Telecom26 support the new GSMA SGP.32 eSIM standard?

Yes. Telecom26 is committed to full compliance with the GSMA’s new SGP.32 eSIM architecture. This standard enables easier and more secure remote SIM provisioning for IoT and consumer devices. As it becomes widely adopted, we will ensure our services and SIM profiles are fully compatible giving our customers access to the latest in eSIM technology.
