Lights, Camera, Action! We’re in Barcelona for MWC and ready to discuss how we can improve your global mobile data connectivity

28 February 2025

Over the next few days more than 101,000 people from 205 countries will arrive in Barcelona for the GSMA’s Mobile World Congress, the most prestigious, influential and exhausting event in the telecoms industry’s calendar.

Telecom26’s global mobile data connectivity team will be out in force on our stand in Hall 5 as part of the Swiss Pavilion. Why not book a meeting to discuss how we can improve the global mobile data connectivity of your people and their devices including IoT and maritime mobile connectivity.

As well as meeting our customers, prospects, partners, suppliers - and friends - of course MWC is a great place to check out what our contemporaries have to say. We’ll be at the Connect 5G Summit discussion about how to monetise 5G networks and 5G-Advanced technologies.

Our digital health team is also keen to learn more at the session - Universal Healthcare 2025: Closing the Gaps, Seizing the Opportunities so they can continue to improve our service to our e-health customers including SystemOne.

We’ll also be dropping into the sessions about smart mobility for automotive and transport as discussed in our blog Telecom26, smart mobility, the automotive & transport industries & global mobile data connectivity.

Business travellers, global mobile data connectivity and Telecom26

In last week’s blog Off to MWC? You’ll need a Telecom26 eSIM to access our global mobile data connectivity service for business travellers, we discussed how and why (and isn’t it ironic?!) that MWC will mean higher phone bills for many attendees who will continue to use their domestic carrier for global mobile data connectivity while at the show.

With Telecom26, buying a local SIM card, relying on insecure public wifi or risking a huge roaming bill are things of the past for people who need global mobile data connectivity when they travel around the globe to build their company’s business.

Our Text, Talk and Travel, Enterprise Data Extra, and Grab and Go services provide fast, secure and reliable global mobile data connectivity worldwide as well as access to Threema’s secure messaging service which is for organisations who value the privacy of their business travellers – and need the highest levels of data protection for their devices.

But you don’t need take our word for why a Telecom26 eSIM makes sense. Read here about why and how a major international organisation moved to Telecom26 last year for all its global mobile data roaming connectivity.

Telecom26 @ Mobile World Congress

As an Operator Member of the GSMA, and the ITU, Telecom26 is firmly focused on providing global mobile data connectivity to businesses. We have our own advanced core network and operational assets leveraging relationships with more than 1100 network connections and 650+ mobile operators to secure unrivalled global mobile data connectivity coverage.

The news cycles around MWC are dominated by the publicly-listed companies but we know from our customers – and prospects – that what they need is a global mobile data connectivity provider that’s agile and can customise its offerings to meet specific requirements, and budgets. One size rarely fits all!

As well as our services for business travellers, Telecom26’s team in Barcelona will be discussing our entire global mobile data connectivity portfolio including:

  • Maritime mobile connectivity for devices, systems, crew and passengers on-board commercial vessels including yachts, fishing boats, container ships, ferries and other vessels.
  • 5G Private Networkswe’re working with enterprises to help them utilise 5G enhanced connectivity, automation, and security within their private networks to meet their specific business needs.
  • Connectivity for routers – in a competitive market where ease of use and customer satisfaction are important, our LPAd solution gives the manufacturers of routers an advantage. We provide any kind of IP connectivity including satellite to support remote applications using our advanced cellular router solutions. Our customers receive the router + SIM configured which means no manual changes are needed.

If you’d like to find out if your routers should have LPAd, then please get in touch.

  • GPS Tracking - our GPS tracking service is for businesses that need to track their vehicles, products, and people as they move around the world – and makes life easier for the IT and comms teams that support them. Our service differs from other options on the market because it integrates GPS tracking and connectivity management. Click here to read more.
